Praises be to Jesus our King!
After about 10! weeks of being here God has gradually showed to me the reason
why He brought us here.
The cultural shock is not an easy thing to overcome...
But for the sake of the Gospel ,we must overcome by His grace...
We have started to open Bible studies in two campuses already, one in BanhanJet
High School and the other one is in Samchuk High School. And we have once a week meeting in there. God has provided for us an interpreter who is also our language teacher. God’s ways are so amazing…just imagine, here in Thailand every public schools are within the territory of the Buddhist temple. But God lift up the gates for His gospel to enter!
Last Tuesday(nov.15) we visited BanhanJet H.S. during lunchbreak, Praise God more than ten enthusiastic students gathered with us... we sang songs and just befriended them... We set a regular schedule to meet every Tuesday lunchbreak and they were so excited...
Last Friday(nov18) we were invited to speak about Christianity in a grade 10 class in Samchuk highschool, about 40 students…and we were given one hour! It was their sociology class. I shared to them my life testimony and also Lilian. I sang to them a song in Thai about the greatness of God and we let them sang with us because we also brought copy the of songs. I felt the presence of God in the room. We did not invite them to receive Jesus yet because it was a class hour, we just invited them to join our planned regular in-campus meeting every Friday starting nov. 25 ,lunch break.
Last Sunday(nov.20) two students from that school came to our church... they are 100% Buddhist. But they joined our youth group.
Last Saturday(nov.19) afternoon I started to train 5 young people for leadership. This has been done because of His grace. May you continue to pray for God’s protection, wisdom and strength! Going back home from BanhanJet, we almost met an accident. Infront of us was a parked ten wheeler car and a motorcycle suddenly made a u-turn without signal... taking our lane... just an inch from harm but God’s hand protected us.
Satan is angry... let him be. Tomorrow, Tuesday, after meeting the students in Banhan Jet, me and Lilian will be traveling to Bangkok, then on Wed. early in the morning we will go and cross the border of Cambodia to renew our visa. We need your prayer for God’s provision and protection.
Khop khun mak kha ( thank you so much.).
May God’s grace and mercy go before you and behind you always.
His,
giging
